Kelly Reichardt, a soft-spoken but incredibly talented author, has created a moving tale of a young girl's never-ending hunt for her dog.
Wendy finds herself in a small Oregon town while travelling to Alaska in pursuit of better economic opportunities. The town's residents appear to be living on the edge of poverty decades after the factories that formerly provided jobs have shut down. Wendy, who meticulously records every dollar she spends, discovers that her automobile won't start. She also loses track of Lucy after failing to steal some food from a store renders her incapacitated She has a dog as a friend and a companion.

Wendy is relentless in her quest for Lucy, looking everywhere. Michelle Williams gives a subtle yet effective performance in this role. a portrayal of heartache and loneliness. She leads a life that is anything from lucky, but she keeps her head high and sees promise in Alaska. Wendy only has a friendly senior security guard to turn to in a small area where her circumstances appear to only get worse.

 We anticipate feeling when we provide her the moral support she undoubtedly needs most. Wendy manages to maintain her composure while facing panic. Her first apparent display of emotional distress and vulnerability follows a Midnight encounter in a woodland that is unsettling. A foreshadowing of her life as a nomad?

 The timing of "Wendy and Lucy"—when our own economy is in a never-ending free fall—helps Reichardt make her important point. Even though the movie is only 80 minutes long, these frequently little and trivial daily routines could make it drag. But it is these incidents that give Williams and the movie its personalities. "Wendy and Lucy" challenges us to maintain our resolve and strength of purpose. Additionally, it has a heartwarming conclusion that will touch even the most jaded cynic. a difficult scenario that you and I would never 

to discover ourselves in. It expresses conviction and the will to follow through on a good decision even when it seems impossible.
